Hi all, I have a 2001 Boxster S that I want to put 18's on, and I have 2 sets of wheels I am looking at.

Porsche Carerra C2 Wheels 997.362.142.00 11 x 18

and 997.362.136.00 8 x 18

or

Italias 18 x 9.5 and 18.8

My plan is to put the 225/40ZR-18 SUMITOMO HTR Z III XL on the front and

265/35ZR18 Sumitomo HTR Z III on the rears.

As of now I am leaning towards the Italias, but am unsure which spacer to use.

Thanks for your help!

You will need the offset specs to determine "if "the wheels will fit; however, I don't know of anyone that's been able to stuff a Carrera 11 in the rear, even with spacers. Also, a 265/40 is too narrow on an 11 wheel anyway.

Boxster offsets are generally et50 front and et47 rear.

The 11" rear will NOT fit, so you have chosen the right one with the Italias (8 and 9.5).

The actual wheel "offset" number is needed to determine what spacer you might want to use to bring the tire out closer to the fender for a fuller look. There are several offset calculators around, this is an example :

The tire size you have chosen will work also.

Enjoy!

so what spacer did you use for the rear wheels on the "blue boxster in the pic the 18 x 10 45mm offset" i have 265/35/18 same wheels off a carrera can you help me i am having trouble fitting them on my 2002 boxster s i dont know what spacer to use

My guess is he didn't need a spacer with an offset of et45...that's right in the ballpark. I have 18x10's on my car with et47...very tight on the inside near the strut; enough so, that I needed to tie back the e-brake cables.

i know i need a spacer because its hitting the strut only on the rear tires the thing is that i dont want to put a spacer that will be to wide and then have problem with the wheel arch it only hits on the 18x10
