2004 GT3 - back to factory specs - internal

Recommended Posts

I have a 2004 GT3 CS - that was previously seriously upgraded for track/rally events.

Am keeping the performance parts - of course!! - but trying to make the interior back to factory spec

Advice appreciated:

- were the rear speakers ever connected?

- side/door air bags operational?

- passenger foot-well fire Extinguisher fitted - or just prepared?

- same for battery kill switches - internal & external - ready to work or need further prep?

- trip computer standard?

- aerial in windscreen?

- front cage was standard in all CS? - I hear about different types??

- only driver's harness fitted ex factory?

thanks, & cheers from OZ

you sure it's a clubsport ?

reason I ask is tht the CS version doesn't have the door airbags

Rear speakers are not conencted - std

Fire extinguisher fitted - by owner

battery kiil switches std

trip computer - std

aerial - std

front cage - supplied, but fitted by dealer - should bolt into floor as should rear cage

only drivers harness was supplied

Thanks David

yes - def a CS - per Porsche dealer

- agree with all your clarifications

except it DOES have side door air bags

- perhaps an Australian mod?

cheers

Mine is a touring with full cage (owner specified) with electric sports seats. I have looked at almost all rhd gt3s available for sale in my vicinity and all of them CS or otherwise seem to have side bags and rear speaker meshes...I never knew the speakers were not connected though!

Yes - speakers in rear not connected! - crazy the grills are still there

- I had to remove CS seats to run the spkr cables

All of the CS's I know DO have side air bags - one of mine went off on track recently

- perhaps an Australian requirement etc

cheers

Hk dealers are very restrictive on small options for cars like the gt3 they normally would have a preorder quota of standard colours and specs so I doubt that for us rhd owners we could specify a side airbag delete. They give us a base price with tax free accessories and the bill builds up from there!
