Hi, (Carrera 4 1999)

I'm about to replace my clutch and flywheel, but I want to know if I need a clutch centering tool to do it. If that's the case where can I get one?

Thanks

You can likely get by without one if you position the clutch driven disk before tightening the pressure plate. I have "eye-balled" these a number of times with no problem.

If you decide you need one, you can usually get a universal guide from your local auto parts store. It's just a wooden dowl with different sizes for about $20.

Autozone will lend you one with a small deposit that is refundable upon the return of the item. I centered the clutch disc and pressure plate on the flywheel by eye and feel and had no problems getting the tranny to line up.
