Some green liquid leaking under car

I discovered a small puddle of green liquid under the car. Looks like antifreeze but not really sure. Leak seems to be comming from around the center point between the rear wheels and onto the plastic cover then onto the ground. Please help! What could it be? Just thinking about the repair cost is starting to get on my nerves. My car is a 99 boxster.

if u do it at the dealer they will smack u with a bill cuz of labor costs,

if u can order the part, coolant that is, and then replace with some one specialized with porsches and work out a deal with them, it wont cost much.

i know how u feel ! I worry bout my car too .. a single sound wrong or weird in the engine gets me worried, but i do take my car to the limits while driving ;P

Each warrantee is unto itself, only you will know what is covered in your warrantee.

Sorry, you have to read it....

I do not believe it would be a consumable.

Man this sucks!!!~

I was driving off to buy some coolant since the coolant level was low. And then suddenly, I saw some smoke comming out from the rear!! And the temperature warning light started to blink!! I stopped the car and ran to the store and got some coolant and added it with water, waited for the car to cool down and started the engine. The warning light was now gone but there is some weird *** squeaking noise from the engine!! What could this be?? Now my car is sitting put I will have to make a visit to the dealership in the moring ASAP.

Squeak is probably your belt slipping, either your blew a hose or some how coolant got on your belt.

It also could be your water pump bearing going out.

It is pretty easy to diagnose if you are handy.

Is this a major problem where I should be concerned very much?

Or Is it an easy one day fix kind of thing? Im gald that My warrantee covers all these parts but Im seriously thinking about changing the car if this matter will affect any other mechanical parts in the future.

For a piece of mind:

I would verify what I said was wrong, belt's and water pumps wear out, not alway's at the same time on all of our cars.

I do not know anything about your Boxster i.e. mileage, age, condition. I would not end your Boxster ownership on a small problem.

It is simple for you to check it out, and then seek advice. I have read to many horror stories about dealers.

Be thankful you have a warranty, and get to know your Boxster by reading all of the problems and repairs encountered by the board members.

If you walk into the dealership with knowledge of your vehicle, the dealer will not give you the story of your "Scheißekopf" being bad and you not being covered.
