Does anyone have the correct part numbers for the MO30 Suspension?

Front & Rear.

I assume the Coupe & Cab are different..

What are these numbers?

99633305114

996 34304117

Yes, the coupe and cab are different (because of the weight). I'll look up the cab parts later today and post them here.

There is an excellent article in Panorama about US Stock vs US M030 vs RoW M030 (coupe only!). Here is a link

Loren, can you post the correct part numbers for the Euro RoW MO30 Suspension, front & rear? I have a 1999 996 Cab C4. A shop in town said they could probably beat whatever I am getting it for. Thanks. - And GREAT site!!!

Thanks Loren, my 996 is a 6speed. My VIN number is xxx - I assume this number is higher than the ones you list so I should use the 996 333 531 37 (marked Brown/Red) part number - correct??

Also, the numbers you gave me are the ones for the RoW Sport suspension that lower the car 20mm in the front and 10mm in the rear - correct?

Thanks

 Loren (or anybody) is the RoW M030 suspension a good upgrade for my 01 C4? (I can get a good deal thru SunCoast Porsche.) I just want it down a littel and a little stiffer.

Yes, but it will lower your car too. Make sure you can live with a car that is 3/4 inch lower in front and 1/2 inch in the rear. It doesn't sound like much but if you already have trouble in some driveways...

Loren or Gert or someone in the know,

I am not sure if I got the correct part numbers. I ordered a RoW M030 suspension kit for my 1999 C4 cab 6 speed. According to Loren, I should have gotten the following part numbers …

for the Rear Springs (996 333 531 37 marked brown and red); and

for the Rear Sway Bar (996 333 701 17).

(By the way, my VIN number is such that it requires the 996 333 531 37 or equivalent not the 996 333 531 04 which would be for lower numbered VIN numbers.)

what I got ..

for the rear springs was 996 333 531 12 (marked in Brown and Red); and

for the rear sway bar I got 996 333 701 19.

When I called the Porsche dealer to see what happened, I was told that what I got are updates from the old part numbers. Loren, Gert or anyone in the know, can you please check and see if I have the correct part numbers. Thanks.

Tony

Sorry, my bad. Read the wrong line

996 333 531 12 is correct for RoW M030.

996 333 701 19 sway bar should still be okay as it is the replacement for the 996 333 701 17.

Loren, can I bother you to check these part numbers? I have an '03 C2 6spd coupe. I'd like to double check the numbers before jumping into the install.

Thanks!

996 343 041 21 (damper)

996 343 701 04 (sway, front)

Rear:

996 333 531 26 (spring, rear white/green, blue)

996 333 051 26 (damper)

996 333 701 19 (sway, rear)

According to the parts list those numbers are correct.

There goes my final excuse :)

Thanks!

Slightly off topic, but related. I've seen a couple DIY instructions for suspension R&R on the various sites. Is there an "official" manual you'd recommend for someone doing the job themselves? I'd like to make sure I get the torques right, etc. Also, I'd like something more detailed than "remove the rear carpeting".

geeez Loren - I think I am in trouble. I purchased the ROW M030 "complete" suspension kit from a company in the UK(not Carnewal) and I have a feeling I am not "complete" or even correct :(

COuld you please verify what exactly I received

2003 C2 coupe 6 speed

Shocks 996.343.041.18 (x2) and 996.333.051.22 (x2)

Coils 996.343.531.19 (x2) and 996.333.531.26 (x2)

shocks have green dots. coils have green & white dots next to each other with a brown dot lower down on the coil

Satbilizers 996.343.701.04 and 996.333.701.19

two random pieces that are in pairs that look like they secure the end of the stabilizer bars? 996.343.792.12 and 996.333.792.25

there are two brass colored rings(~2" in diameter) that go with the rear shocks and the only part number they have imprinted on them is 996.3.00 and they are only with the rears, not the fronts.

i can't find any bumpstops or compensation plates - are they supposed to be in the "kit"? if so, do you know the part numbers for these bumpstops & compensation plates(don't even know which thickness i need?)?

here is a pic of my kit:

6c_1_b.JPGd to be in the "kit".

thanks a ton as always

Front shocks - 996.343.041.18 are for a MY02. Although the parts list says they can be replaced with 996 343 041 21 (for MY03).

Front springs - 996.343.531.19 is correct. They should be marked Green and White.

Rear shocks - 996.333.051.22 are for a MY02 (again). Although the parts list says they can be replaced with 996 343 051 26 (for MY03).

Rear springs - 996.333.531.26 is correct. They should be marked Green and White.

Stabilizer - 996.343.701.04 and 996.333.701.19 (replaces 996 333 701 17) are correct.

996.343.792.12 and 996.333.792.25 are new stabilizer mounts since your new bars are likely larger in diameter.

Bump stops and compensation plates can be reused as they are the same. The kits vary so I've seen some with and some without.

So the only thing I see in question is the shocks. I do not know the difference between the MY02 and MY03 shocks. Perhaps it is just the manufacturer since the parts list says you can use the newer ones on an older car.

Are you sure he doesn't need new rear bumpstops? I'm almost certain the ROW030 comes with new rear bumpstops -- mine did...

first of all - THANKS!

i read in an earlier post in this thread about there being a choice between the compensation plates' size. is it best just to stick with the ones that are already on my car then?

as far as the bumpstops, it was my understanding that they are different. here is a excerpt from the artice on the PCA website about the different suspensions:

Figure-3sm.jpg

"here are standard as well as sport rear bumpstops all of which were measured as shown in Table 5 with the rear sport bumpstop found to be 13mm shorter than the standard version."

Table5sm.jpg

i don't know what year these part numbers are from but i included it to show the height difference.

thanks again for any guidance!

If your car had the US M030 then they are the same. If your car had the standard suspension then you will need new ones for the rears (996 333 105 03).

thanks again! i feel like an idiot now but just realized that when i ordered this suspension i did not confirm that i needed it for a 6 speed rather than a tip. but my part numbers match up for a 6 speed right??? talk about lucky.....geesh :D

Posted

thanks as always - i ordered the bumpstopss from Sunset and am having them expedited from Germany since they're are ZERO available in the US

i'll let you know how the install goes in a couple of weeks :D

Posted

I'm trying to order from sunset as well

Loren, can you verify that the part number they gave me at sunset is in fact for my 03 6sp coupe.

000 044 500 27

The kit comes with all that you guys have mentioned right? I have the cheapy oem std suspension now..

thanks in advance
