No lug bolt key

I just realized that the previous owner did not leave me the lug bolt key that I will need in order to remove my wheels. Where can I get a replacement key and how do I verify that it is correct? I tried Sunset but they could not help me.

Check the pouch in the front trunk near the spare tire - look for the key and/or the plastic bag with the number on it (it will be a 3 digit number). In a few rare cases a tech has hand written the key number on the option tag under the front hood.

If still no luck, then go to a dealer and ask them to try their keys until they find the right one. Once you have the number it is easy to order.

I couldn´t find the 3 digit number, and <I don´t have a Porsche dealer nearby. One tire shop lost the key, although they deny it. How can I take the security keys away? I suppose I have to break them, but how?

Most tire shops know how to safely cut them off. Don't forget you will need four standard wheel bolts to replace them.

You can get a 3pc set from China Freight that will fit the Porsche Wheels and take the locking bolt off.

A friend of mine got stuck in the same situation as you.

Just in case you haven't, have you taken the spare off and looked behind it? My key was in the Styrofoam backing behind it.
