Well I am ready to get ready to try to plug in these led 997.2 tail lights into my 996

Loren

Could I get the pin layout for the 996 turbo tail lights and if you have the 997.2 led tails.

I get the car back tommorrow and its going to be a fun weekend trying to make it work.

I already posted the 996TT diagram for you here.

And, the 997TT diagram.

Please make up your mind what you want/need.

Loren,

I am so stumped. I was able to splice the 996 TT rear wire harness and connect it following your diagram to the new 997.2 led tails.

At first I was surpised it was so easy.

Everything worked

the turn signal

backup light

rear fog light

night light

brake signal

I was a happy camper. What I realized later is that when the night lights turns on it also turns on the rear turn signals at the same time. I have a feeling it has to be the led tail lights doing it, as they are only 6 wires coming from the wire harness into the led tail light. Not sure how to proceed at this point. I was thinking maybe inside the led module of the tail light there might be two grounds for the turn signal.

Do you know if there is a wiring diagram for the inside of the led tail light not just of the tail light assembly.

Thanks in advance

What I posted is what I have.

Realize on the newer cars the lights are all run by "control boxes".

Here are some pictures. Going to try to trace the wires inside the led tail light tail lights to see what I can find.
