They are asking 129k, which seems above original MSRP? So, while I love the car, I need to figure out my walk-away price before going to the dealer today. What is your walk-away price?

All thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated.

ps. While I love the RS Orange, is it a bit poser to paint a non-RS an RS color?

ps2. Of course the salesman acts like the new economy hasn't affected high-end rare cars, but that just seems like a line. Is there really a solid national market for GT3s? Or are they not selling like the Turbos? There are 10 turbos on the lot with the GT3.

Great time to buy for cash-in-hand shoppers. There are tons of Porsches for sale. You don't get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate.

Paint the car any color you want, but expect to pay huge $$$$ for a quality job. $10,000 min. Now, if you put "RS" badging or markings on the car, that's a "poser" IMHO.

In this economy, everything is effected.

Have you driven the car?

I haven't driven the car (sadly), but I have driven the turbo and hated the tiny turbo lag... and I do love supertight suspension and am all about quick handling. So it seems like a natural.

Does it cut both ways, in that you expect to also get less on a trade in? I'll be trading in a loaded 08 M3 vert.

Don't buy a car you have never test driven.

Yes, it cuts both ways, your trade will be worth less too.

I don't know where you live but you could definetly get a better price than $129k for an 08 GT3.

Here is an example of an 08 with 2200k miles for $119K. That's before negotiation...

If you really want a GT3 you have to drive it first! Be patient and look around and don't leave out a very low mile 06 and 07..

They are an awesome car but not for everyone.

I'm #1 on the list for a 2010. I just spec'd out my ideal car w/PCCB, dynamic engine mounts in GT silver for only $133,315. The $129K is too much. Get on a list for a 2010.

Total poser painting a car Orange.

I bet you can get the car for 5,000 less. What

the heck does a GT-3 need with Nav? That is

5,000 wasted dollars. Just my opioin.
