Anyone know if it's fairly easy to replace a coolant tank?

Thx

It is reasonably straighforward, with the only issue (and it is not a minor one) being the limited space to work and access the various clamps on the forward side of the trunk firewall.

I found that using the hole in the trunk firewall through which the wiring harness is routed (immediately to the left of the coolant tank) made it easier to see and to access some of the clamps.

Bleeding the air out of the coolant system is also a bit of a pain, unless you use a vacuum tool made for this purpose.

Having a good set of hose clamp pliers will also make the job much easier. After you get the clamps off, you can replace them with stainless steel screw-type radiator clamps if you don't want to wrestle with the OEM clamps.

Do a search here and you will find many threads covering the DIY.

Regards, Maurice.
