I have owned my MY98 Boxster since Aug 08 and every time I run the car, I get bits and pieces of black foam rubber out of the vents. I checked the Enviro filter and all looks good there. Any ideas on what it is I'm chasing?

The foam comes off from the airco/heating unit's air mix flap, you can provide some air mix problems in a later stage.

There is a topic on this board somewhere (986/996), i cant find it for the moment, well documented with pics etc. solution inclusive.

Good luck....5 hours for me....if I had to do it again...I can do it in 2 -3. You won't trim any time for the 1st time. Major difference after....

Ok, after about 10 miutes, I found the post and here is a link to the site that had the fix. I'm gonna see if I can trim the 3 hours down a little. Wish me luck.
