I am leaving the country for 7 months on business, do I need to do anything if my 996's will not be driven for this time? I went out and bought a couple of Porsche battery maintainers is this good enough?

Connecting a good battery maintainer on the car, tyre pressure setting and a bottle of fuel treatment in the gas tank should suffice for 7 months IMHO.

Change the oil before you leave, too. A good wax job. Car cover. A few desicators in the cabin. Park on a plastic tarp. Just a few more things I do for every winter hibernation (+5 months).

Totally unattended for 7 months? I'd pull the battery; forget the charger. Leave the hood popped. The rest of the suggestions sound good.

Why a "couple" of battery maintainers? Also, I think I've read that tires should be over inflated and/or maybe even put on some device that keeps them from getting flat spots.
