Hello,

i have a problem with the airbag light. Durametric says code 29 on drivers side. I reset the airbag light with the Durametric but after 5 seconds the airbag light is on again. There was a repair on the door, so there might be something wrong with the airbag. Any ideas what do do next, before i remove the door panel.

Thanks

Stefan

If the door panel was removed then they could have disconnected or pinched the airbag wiring connection.

Be sure to keep the key OUT of the ignition when checking the door panel. The key needs only to be in the ignition (car off) to activate the airbag circuit.

To be really careful disconnect the battery and wait for at least 5 minutes before working on the door panel/airbag.

Loren,

i took away the door panel today. The wires on the door airbag seemed to be fine. I shook the wires a little bit and tightened the bolts of the airbag. Then i checked it with the Durametric, deledted the airbag light and it didn´t showed up again. Fine, but what has caused the problem before?

Stefan
