Hi,

I changed my front o2's and my maf because I keep getting bank 1 an 2 sensor 1 codes.I can drive about 10 to 15 minutes and I still get the same codes. The o2's are after market not bosch, and the place I bought them from said they can go in the pre cat position or post cat...is this true or do you think the might be post cat o2's or just crap and I should buy 2 new bosch?I am also wondering if my new headers might be causing the prob.I removed those puny little stock ones, and replaced them with performance headers.Could that be the prob? The car runs fine, but the check engine light is driving me crazy.Thank you for your time.... :D

What codes exactly are you getting. A lot of people get faults for "oxygen sensing" and assume it means the oxygen sensors are at fault. What year boxster do you have?

P0131 and p0132i think..I cleared the codes already, and haven't gone for a ride again since.I have a 1999 986 .I will go for a ride in a few minutes to make sure those were the codes. If they are diffrent i will post them.Thank you for replying!

All 4 sensors faulty at the same time is very uncommon, i would suspect the MAF.

Is the MAF a known NEW Bosch and not one of the rebuilt units?

Take the second set of O2's out and move them to the front.. put the junk aftermarket ones up under the car and safety wire them to the tub. Locate some plugs for the headers. You do not need the second set. They just need to read clean air (basically) this will eliminate them from the equation.

What we learned on the dyno after installing headers on the 2.5? The car sounds better and made no more power and actually lost torque
