Hi guys.

Hope you can help.

I have recently started using my 1999 MY 996 C4 cab again after having parked it up for a few months.

When cleaning it out inside the other day i have noticed dampness on the front passenger side carpet where clearly water has got in, and more worryingly, the carpet behind the drivers seat was completey soaked in water. :o

All of the windows were properly closed as was the elctric hood which has no apparent leaks.

I have read about drainage channels getting blocked so need to check these, but dont really know where to locate them.

Also are there any other suggestions of where this water could be getting in???? :help:

I have previously noted drips under the dash on the passenger side footwell, and i found a load of paper towells stuffed in there, presumably from a previous owner who noted water was getting in the passenger side somewhere around the bonnet!!

Any help would be fantastic ........

Do a search here for "drains" and make sure they are all clear.

You do not want water on the drivers side under the seat - that is where the alarm/immobilizer is and that would be ral trouble.
