Porsche carrera 4 63700 1999

I was driving today and my clutch felt totally different. It felt lighter and it started grabbing earlier. When I drove a few miles it got a bit worse. Now it vibrates when I take off on first gear.

I was just wondering if that actually means that I have to change the clutch or maybe just the hydraulic pump. Hoiw can I find out and how hard is it to do those jobs?

Thanks guys

Sounds like the pressure plate has failed. Search and you should find loads of info on this site.

Has anybody done a clutch replacement before? Is it a job you can do yourself and do you need any special tools?

What parts do I have to buy to replace it and is there anything else I should replace at the same time?

I saw some clutch kits on Ebay for $400, does this do the job?

Thanks

Please do a search as this topic has been covered many times. It's difficult to say if you can do it yourself as I've no idea how good of a wrench you are.... I think the job is very easy and have done such repairs on a drive way without using a jack to lift the transaxle.
