After charging the dead battery on my 2006 997 cab with the top fully down, I received a failure convertible top control error. I now can't put up the top or put the rear windows up. I checked all the fuses and they are all ok

Any sugestions?

Last time I could not get my top to work the engine compartment lid was not fully closed. You might wnat to check this. Hopefull it is this simple.

Thanks, but that wasnt it. The lid was the first thing I checked. I guess the next question is... If it is trully a control error, the how can I manually get into the back to check the control unit with the top in the down position?

I would disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes, reconnect and try again. It is still possible that the control box is dead, especially when the battery ground cable was not disconnected from the chassis during the charge. You can close the soft top manually, a little complicated but reasonable, see owners manual.

Ive been trying to lift the top manually via the owners manual instructions and I can not get it to budge more than 6 inches up. I tried it with one person on each side as well as form behind the fronts seats as stated. It seems to be stuck on the hydraulic lifts. Any recommendations ?
