Just bought a 2002 996 C4. Dealer threw in an oil change but I have a slow leak from oil plug. I thought Porsches required an O Ring. I am 2 hours from the dealer so taking back a pain. Can anyone tell me what type of material and size the o ring is, the local O'Reilly's doesn't have a part number but they do have a large selection of orings. I figured I would pull the plug and drain the oil, replace the Oring and put everything back together. I live in a small town in southern illinois so most people think I am driving a space ship and no ones stocks parts.

Do you mean the drain plug?

If so it is an aluminum washer. Part numbers are here.
