Remove tape residue from leather dash

Previous owner must have had a cellphone or some other such rig taped to dash :-(

It has a black tape like residue on the leather surface.....

Any recommendations of how to remove this without damaging the leather dash?

I've always had great success with GooGone. Out here in Southern California I have FastTrak transponders that we use for toll roads and every now and then I have to remove the Velcro from my dash; nothing works better from what I've tried in the past...citrus base.

Color test a small, hidden spot, before you start rubbing on your leather dash. Just a word of caution.

Wurth Citrus Degreaser...you cannot buy a better product. Check with any experienced concours guy...

As the lead Concours guy here, I can recommend the Wurth remover. However, while Wurth is good, 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover is better and more readily available.

Orient, I have used it the 3M on the vinyl sun visors, it's safe on leather too??

As the lead Concours guy here, I can recommend the Wurth remover. However, while Wurth is good, 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover is better and more readily available.

I use the 3M product as well, but feel the Wurth is better suited to the leather dash. Thanks for your input concours guy!
