Hi,

went out for a drive in snowy weather a few days ago - check engine light went on. Visited the OPC here in Oslo, code was P0430 (I think it threw other codes also, but this was the most important)

Dealer said the cat may need replacement (expensive), but it was probably just a sensor - I have an appointment to change the O2 sensor next week.

After doing some search on the net it seems that an exhaust leak also can throw P0430 error (OBD website) dealer never mentioned this. This got me thinking, a fellow Boxster owner I met a few weeks ago said he noticed a little rattle sound when revving my car that could be a small exhaust leak.

Im going to take this info to the OPC, but I was wondering if any of you guys have experience with the P0430 code in relation to an exhaust leak ?

I think you need to check for other fault codes.

I would erase this code and see if it comes back.

P0430 TWC Conversion, Bank 2 – Above Limit

Potential causes:

– Catalytic converter
