I recently picked up a navigation unit for my 2000 Boxster S and the person who salvaged the unit cut the cables and sent me part of the cable that connects the cd unit to the head unit. I am looking for the part number for the connecting cable. I do not have access to the rest of the cable or the person who cut it.

So far I have contacted the parts manager from Brumos in Florida and have downloaded the parts list from the Porsche website with no luck. The Porsche parts list only shows the GPS extension cable on the page with the PCM1 schematic. No other cables are mentioned.

Any help would be appreciated.

You may find that there is a loom or retro fit kit listed under the tequipment section of the parts catalogue. Failing that, the plugs are likely to be generic to VW also , your local VW dealer can order these plugs and pins as spare parts.

Thank-you for the reply. I made the suggestion to the parts dept. and the response I received was that the only part number they could find was for the entire retrofit kit with no break-out list for separate items in the kit. They are going to ask the dealer net if anyone has one of these kits on their shelf and if they can open the box to check for part numbers on the harness itself.

Porsche's response to the request for part numbers was that the part is unavailable.

If there is a retro-fit there are part numbers please? One would think that there would be a list of part numbers in the paperwork that comes with the kit if nothing else.
