1. Maybe everyone has this sound but my P996C4S(2003) is the only P i have driven hence my question. At a low speed (10-20 km/h) when I disengage the engine (either by pushing clutch or rapidly taking foot off accelerator) there is a metallic click. Sounds like clutch noise but I am no expert.

Took the car to the garage but they said it is OK (since this is the same P dealer which completely screwed up my PCM I have little trust in them).

2. once the car is moving it is noticeably more difficult to shift into the 1st gear. doesn't bother me much but is it normal?

I believe what you are hearing is the sound of the small microswitch engaging/dis-engaging as you push in / release the clutch.

It is perfectly normal and is there to prevent us knuckleheads from starting the car without the clutch disengaged.

I know some peope have taken a piece of tape or a ziptie and wrapped it around the microswitch (located at the top of the clutch pedal arm) to keep it closed, but it is not a big deal to me.

Hope this helps.
