After the ar has been running and the temp gets to appox. 190F the car turns off and will not start until the car has cooled down. I have replaced the water pump, thermostats, and was told that the fans were bad. I have replaced the fans and had the sensor thermol check all OK. Not sure what else good be need help.

Is the check engine warning on? Are there fault codes in the memory? Please do a check first and report back, there are different causes, with and without fault codes stored.

When it stalls is it like you turned the ignition key off or does the engine lose power, stumble and die?? Have you noticed the fuel pump noise when this happens? Any other odd electrical problems, has the ignition switch ever been replaced?

I have the Durametric if you need it..but you do not have a CEL..... Los Angeles.

There are some codes that will set without triggering a CEL.
