I have a 2004 cayenne S and the temp gauge is always at a hare over half way, but in slow and at a long stop it gets close to 3 quarters. It doesn't overheat cuz when I drive it, it goes back down to a hare over half. I don't try to overheat it cuz I get scared fo ruining my cayenne. And I dont smell coolant.

I have had it only for 2 weeks and the weather is around the 20's at the moment.

I'm wondering if any of you had this problem, or know of it, or know a solution.

thanks

How many miles on the vehicle? There have been some problems with water pumps but only brng failures and leakage that I know of.

Well let's start with the basic stuff.... is the coolant level correct? Always check it with a cold engine and it should be at the cold level indicator mark. Do you ever hear the cooling fans come on?
