How can I get the rear wiper to work? The wiper lever won't move forward as the manual says it's supposed to do. I did it once accidentally a while ago. Does the car have to be in reverse? Does the function have to be set up on the PCM? My car's a 6-speed C2S with the rain sensor switch (neat!) but without Chrono.

The rear wiper will work only in reverse, if programmed with PIWIS. Once programmed as ON, there's no way back.

When in reverse, can the wiper lever THEN be pushed forward to operate the rear wiper, or is the lever locked by the PIWIS setting?

The wiper have to work always manually when you push the handle, if the wiper is announced to the car system.

The wiper can work automatically when the reverse gear is selected, if the wiper is announced and programmed to do that, once programmed in this function, it is no longer possible to disable the automatic function. Looks like the car suffers with a program issue.

To all those folks who read my post, I offer my deepest apologies; I don't even HAVE a rear wiper! I guess the transition from 118 to 355 bhp musta jarred something loose in my head, and I dreamt up the accidental operation. Please be kind to take pity on me.

I think I will leave this thread so other folks can see RFM's comments about reprogramming the rear wiper (if you have one ;) )

I certainly learned something I did not know.
