There are 2 approaches:

1. replace the OEM spring sets with stronger springs (so they don't release pre-maturely)

2. install EBC and take the decision away from the ECU.

I did the first one...first I don't really drag race and second I don't want to remove the safety features built in by the ECU. I have read of at least 3 that have blown up using the EBC. This does not mean they are no good as there are also those that run fine with them, it just removes some of the safety IMHO.

I heard the same as above and I think that is why the majority of people do not have EBC's.

On a related question, does anyone know of a way to temporarily lower your boost? I want to take my car to the track but would prefer to be at .6 or so bar instead of the 1.2bar I am at now (GT28 turbos). Without an EBC that is?

1. Talk to your tuner. They should be able to supply a lower boost program. Or just flash back to stock. (sounds like you need a flash loader.)

Ahh, I didn't know I could load a different program on there with a flashloader. I'll have to call up Evoms before this spring to get myself set up on that.

Thanks!
