I have an 04 CS, owned since brand new, this winter I am now having defrosting issues, the defroster is having trouble getting rid of the condensation within the car, is this a freon issue??? anyone know?

the defroster fan comes on full blast (lots of heat) yet it is having trouble dissipating the fog on the glass quickly. I know that some defrosters use the A/C to work quickly, that's why I wonder if it's a freon issue.

I know it's been a while since this thread started, but did you ever resolve the issue? I am having the same problem, especially when it rains. The intake area is dry, so not getting water into the fresh air intake, and the intake drain is clear. I suspect it may be the air quality sensor under the hood just inside the fresh air intake, which I believe measures intake air humidity to control the A/C. Thanks.

Air quality sensor measure pollutants. Inspect the cabin filter and the operation of the recirculation door.

I agree with wvicary......I was having similar issues, so I changed the cabin filter. It was VERY dirty.....Since then it is much better.....

If you have cold air coming out in the summer then it's not freon issue. It may be the controls that don't cycle the AC when it's in defrost mode. Just a thought.
