Has anyone dealt with NR Automotive in Sherman Oaks, CA? They sell this bumper for a MY99-01 996:

Since I have a MY2000 I can't do the Porsche turbo bumper swap (the lights wouldn't work) :( Also, I have the 3rd radiator installed.

It looks really good in the pictures, any thoughts?

Thanks,

Alex

Alex,

I had their bumpers on my old 996. They are very good quality and fit well. I highly recommend

Hi Phillip, I'm glad to hear that you were happy with them, in the pictures it looks really nice. I'll have to check out the other company as well. I'm just itching for a turbo bumper. mine has to be stripped and repainted anyway due to scratches/road rash so it makes for a good excuse to trade up.

I read your engine update, it's good you're making progess even if the one you thought you found did not pan out. It's best to get the best one you can of course.

Have a good weekend.

Alex,

I have heard that it may be better to get fiberglass over plastic. Supposedly the plastic is much heavier and cannot be repaired if damages. Where the fiberglass can be repaired.

I really like the look of that "turbo Style" bumper with the link I sent you. I saw a Boxter with that bumper and it looked very nice. Just personal preference.

Good luck!

Hopefully my car will be completed before the end of the year. I'll keep the site posted on my progress. The only positive is that I will have the 3.6!

Phillip
