I'm thinking of building a 1973 2.7 RS replica from this car for road and classic racing.

I'd like to run a G50 gearbox if possible. Does these bolt straight in, or would I need to run a 915 gearbox?

I'd also like to get hold of the ducktail rear deck, door cards and 2.7RS decals.

Can anyone recommend a decent supplier who had genuine parts where available, or high quality replica parts?

Stratton Motorsports out of Florida makes very nice replica lids using original metal lid as a base. G50 will fit but doesn't bolt right in. Good luck with the project, looks like a good starter.

There is no reason you can't use a 915. It was the transmission used on a 1973 RS. I've had no problems with mine after many miles.

I'd first look at this site for suppliers of the parts you need. They are easily sourced. The difficult part to find is the steel rear fenders.
