How does the removable hardtop make the electrical connection for the rear window defogger? This is the first time I am using the hardtop since I purchased the car in June. 2002 C2 CAB.

THANKS!

If the 996 is like the 986, there is a socket behind the driver's seat that accepts the plug. there is a small plastic cover over it that you will need to flip up.

Again, if it's like the 986, here's a photo of what the connector socket might look like:

996 hardtops makes the connection automatically with the rear fixation pin. Take a look, the left and right hardtop lock on the car are different, one is equipped with a copper electric connector.
