Is it possible to service the hydraulic ram system? Can I add fluid to it, if so what kind, and any sort of how to step by step instruction would be appreciated very much.

Thank you

the system uses pentosin hydraulic fluid same as the power steering system. If the spoiler is going up uneven that means you're rams are leaking, my suggestion is to add a more viscous pwr steering fluid from lucas which also has a sealer. The procedure is messy and you have to do one side at a time. The pump pushes the heavier grade just fine just a little slower up and down. I only removed the fitting at the base of the ram fluid will leak out so cover the engine/bumper. attach a 60 cc gyringe like the one used for basting to the bottom of the ram. As you now manually raise the spoiler and prop it up with2-3 folded towels, the ramm will lag behind so now inject the fluid in and youll hear the ram engage and tap the spoiler. quickly disconnect the syringe and replace the hydraulic line. Remove the towels and see how much more fluid needs to be added ; you may have to repeat to purge the system since the heavier weight fluid will displace the lighter wieght fluid. I did mine several years ago and no problems since.
