I have a very annoying rattle in my drivers side door. It's an intermittant "clicking" sound. It makes me crazy. I have almost emiminated all squeaks and rattles (with the top up) except this one. This is the only rattle in the car with the top down.

Is it difficult to get the door panel off? Is it worth it for a DIY?

If anyone has had a similar problem and has some insight or advice please let me know.

Thank you!

Phillipe, try to adjust the door latch a little more to the inside to start with.

I have an 02 C4 Cab with the same issue and it drives me crazy.

Over the years, the dealer adjusted the door latch untold times without any permanantly good results.

I would love to know how to get rid of this.

Just loose both bolts and adjust the chrome latch, inside - outside - up and down and re tighten the bolts. Apply a little silicone grease ( very small amount ) to the latch.

Just wanted to thank RFM and others for all the advice on my Cab. I adjusted the door hinge and used a little silicone lube and the rattle is gone :D

Also I followed all of the tips from other folks on getting rid of squeaks and rattles in my convertible top. I have eliminated 99% of them.

This is an amazing forum. I can't imagine how much money I would have spent if I had taken the car to a mechanic or (God forbid) the dealer.

Thanks to everyone and thanks to Loren for this forum. :renntech:

I had a rattle in the door of my C2 Cab as well. Drove me crazy! After many attempts, I found the screws that hold the subwoofer box in the door coming loose. There is 4 phillips head screws that hold the sub box in the door and all of them were a turn or two loose. Rattle GONE! Hope this helps.
