I swapped my 5 spoke 18" wheel for this 19" HRE, looks good and aggressive.

Feels harder on the road coz' it's wider I guess and bigger. Here are pics'

It's not perfect but will get it repaired in the future. Hope you guys like it!

It's a unique look, IMO You're gonna have to keep them really clean to pull off the look and I would def. go with some chrome lugs.

It seems odd for some reason they look smaller than my 19's? Maybe it's just due to the dark centers? It will be harder on the road due to the rigidity of the smaller sidewall. Hope you enjoy it.

I will actually clean and paint those lug nuts silver or black, they look smaller coz of the step lips. You probably have the flat deep dish. The center hub radius will be bigger and wheels will look bigger too. And you are right it feels like I have coilovers now they are stiffer on the road and feels a lot more with those wider bigger wheels

Thanks

I love the look!.. The anodized blue with the silver body is nice. Very cool. I have 19's on my 996 and it is a big difference in ride quality compared to the 18's. Next time you have the wheels off clean those calipers with Simple Green and a toothbrush. I'm really anal about the rotor hubs being clean as well.

Post pics after you get the wheels fixed. Really beautiful coupe! :D

Personal thought I would go with chrome lugs. As you have a lot of chrome on them and the contrast might look tacky.

(I have been accused of being anal about these type of things)

I will get it repaired this coming monday hopefully. The shop is charging me $225 a piece. it will look like new after

according to them. I will clean it while it's up on the rack if they allow me. So simple green is the stuff to use. I will

look on the lug nuts maybe they could do that for me also. should I keep the color blue or paint it black. A friend of mine is suggesting match it with my car. Not sure what would look best?

Thanks for all the reply and advise!

Well, gloss black looks good on anything. Matching your color is kind of redundant as any silver wheel on the planet will look close enough to your color. The blue is a good look it is a little bit different and it goes well with silver, now all you need is some sponsor decals, and door numbers to match the blue color to tie it all together. . . . . maybe not. Also I forgot to say nice choice on wheels HRE's are very good. Try looking google pictures of exotic cars and see if something pops out at you. You do have to be seen in public with it after all. ;)

How is your car lowered now or is it sitting at stock height?

nope it's lowered with H&R springs 1.2inch i believe makes a diff from stock

Did you replace the shocks? If not, do you have any handling issues pairing stock shocks with only springs?

Shocks are still stock/original it corners and handles really well like a go cart. Love em!
