hey guys,

just joined here because this is the first porsche forum ive come across that isnt all about money and people actually know the technical stuff about the cars.

well i want to upgrade the calipers on my m5 and im not ready for the BBK from stoptech or Brembo just yet. i want to run the big red calipers from porsche and was hoping you guys could help me with fitment and specs.

im not to sure what size rotors porsche is running or what the contact area of the porsche side is but on my m5 im running 345x32 with 3" contact area on the rotors, and 34mm and 40mm are optimal piston sizes for my brakes from what ive found. the rear rotor on my m5 are a 328x20 with 2.5" contact area.

i think the Pcar brakes are 32 and 40mm which is pretty close and i can make it work. if you guys wouldnt mind sharing the rotor sizes, piston sizes, and anything else you think that might help me id appreciate it.

here's a link to the calipers i am referring to.

basically all im asking for is

what cars come with those calipers listed

what are the front and rear rotor sizes

what are piston sizes on front and rear.

thanks

thanks!

hmm wow, is there anything closer to 345x32 running the 4 piston, all those seem to be REALLY off.

GT3 RS runs 350 mm 6 piston calipers (2 x 38 mm, 2 x 32 mm, 2 x 28 mm).

I think that is about as close as you are going to get in Porsche parts without going back to the 1980's cars or Brembo upgrades.

so the 997 wont work either then huh?

if there's ANYTHING from any of the Pcars that is near 345x32 running a 4piston or 6 piston i would appreciate that info.

thanks
