Hello all...

I've just installed 18X10 rear wheels with the correct offset.

Now,when I hit a dip in the road,I get a strange noise from the left rear.

It sounds like a cross between a clunk and a rub. Don't know how else to describe it!!!

I tried 5mm spacers but noise is still there. Doesn't happen on a sharp bump on the road, only

on a dip. I can't for the life of me see any signs of tire rub,but that's kind of what it sound like.

Car is a 2000 S.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Hey Mike, I would remove the left rear wheel then inspect the inner rim(edge) to see if there is any rubbing mark,,,

Yup...I've already done that and it looks good. No sign of rubbing anywhere.

I had the car on a lift so I was able to have a good look.

This noise did not happen with the factory 18X9"s.

Thanks.

The handbrake cables can hit the tyre and is only visible with the car on the floor.
