I'm about to remove the front bumper cover on my 03 996TT to clean the radiators, and replace the left grill that got chipped by a rock.

I've searched the site and seen pics, but I cant seem to determine if the air temp sensor gets pushed back rearward to disconnect from the grill, or if there is another clip to disconnect it once the bumper is "hanging" loose.

Any advice or pics are cheerfully accepted.

Thanks.

Should be a plug on the wires - perhaps behind the air duct.

but how does it pop out of the grill? Just push hard rearward?

It just fits into a circular receptacle that you can see by looking into the grill....you push it bqckwards and it just hangs there on the wires...no biggie really.

Thanks. I didn't want to bust that or the fragile grill. Just had to give it some extra oomph and it popped right back.

Much appreciated.
