I have looked and looked... found bits of info here and there, but nothing very definitive.

I called up my dealer and they were pretty useless.

I called up a couple of wheel shops and got two different answers.... great.

So, is there a chart or a breakdown somewhere of the proper wheel offsets for the early 996 cars?

I want to get some new shoes... would like to go 18" with 8.5 & 11 wide.

Would really like to get the 996 GT3 wheels, but am still shopping around.

It seems that a lot of it is preference on how you want it to look...

BTW- this is for a U.S. 2001 Carrera 4 Coupe 6speed

Thanks

Thanks... that calc is cool, now I have to pull my wheels to find my current spec.

But, in the spirit of gimme gimme now and laziness....

Maybe this will narrow down the possibilities:

Will a 996 GT3 wheel fit correctly?

It seems they are all 8.5 w/ 40offset & 11 w/ 63offset.

Thanks
