I'm in a semi-rural area of NJ with a dearth of decent radio stations, and I find my stock (Cayenne V6, no sound system upgrade) radio reception to be pretty poor in comparison to my past rides. I get a lot of noise due to poor signal strength far more quickly than I experience with other vehicle radios.

I assume this may have something to do with the lack of a conventional antenna?

Has anyone had a parallel experience, and if so, any thoughts towards a solution (other than satellite radio or playing CDs ;) )

TIA, Bob

Bring it to the dealership to have it checked. Within the rear spoiler are the antennas and amplifiers. There may be a problem with that hardware.

I find no receptions problems with my '06 CTTS on AM/FM but the Satellite radio reception does suck when driving through Forests. Where the Porsche completely looses signal my Audi will just keep playing. The Audi Sharkfin antenna is a much better antenna.
