Hello all

When stone cold my car starts in 1st gear rather than 2nd on level street and is very slow in upshifting. My street is residential and is hard to get up to speed quickly. Shifts to 2nd okay but will not upshift to 3rd unless i accelerate rapidly which is not what I would like to do. This all sorts itself out and everything goes smoothly shortly after the secondary air pumps stop (< 1 min). ATF level is good. Is this normal?

I start my car in the morning on a hill. I

thought it was the hill that caused it to start in

first gear. By the time I shift

to third I have gone about a mile.
