Helo,

I've took my car at the Porsche Dealer here in Romania, and I've found that they were supposed to do many things to my car, without any fees at all, things that they havent done from the day that I've bought it :( , or lets say from the first day when they've seen the car. So, they said that there are so many things to do, like MANY SOFTWARE UPDATES ?? and also some recalls from the factory, NONE of them MECHANICAL, only body parts like aluminium door trimms, Cayenne S letters from the back, but again none of them mechanical. For instance the leaking hoses from the cooling that melt, those that are in the back of the engine, werent done under warranty at the time when they had to do it, I payed and believe me its not cheap here, and many other minor things like the small plastic cover on the rear wiper (they are not selling only this like many US and EU dealers, they are selling it as an assembly with the electrical switch also - it was like 15-20$ and now almost 100$ ??) . So, what I've experienced it was that I had to leave my car at the dealer for 3 days, and at the end they havent done any Software Update at all, then I decided to take the car from there, and I'm planning a tripp to Wien, Austria in order to solve all the minor problems that I have with the car, but I dont know what to speak about when i go there, its better to know what they have to do, let them speak and see what they have to do.

These beeing said, that is what I've experienced recently and any info will help.

at the end, if you ever come over here DONT GO TO OUR PORSCHE DEALER(the only one in the country!!), cause

Porsche Romania SUCKS BIGTIME!!!!!

Very interesting! There are no other "official" Porsche service centers in Romania??

(I'm from Constanta, but I've been living in the US for the past 20+ years)

yes, the only one is the one from Bucharest, and because of the "people" from there many of us are going abroad, in Austria and Hungary. still I have seen many Moldavian plated cars here. I dont know why they aren't professionals, cause right now there are so many Porsche& Bentley owners. another thing is that most of them are running for TIPS :(, even with that beeing paid you'll experience some bad habitts like a good friend of mine with a genuine MY07 TurboS Magnum had, they had his car for a road test ride and they have dent & bent 2 wheels, with a more than 200$ TIPS paid for this thing: to not take out the car without him, they have done exactly the opposite :(. another thing, the labour hour is a little over 100$.

If you want to see which TSB updates, Workshop Campaigns, and recalls (if any) have been done on your car - only a dealer can look that up in Porsche's database. But any dealer can do that.

If you want to read the TSB, Workshop Campaigns, and recalls then you need become a Contributing Member here.

You don't have to get a PayPal account to donate here - you can use a credit card too.

The VIN option info is free service here too - but we only do it for Contributing Members because we don't need to run 30,000 plus of these - not to mention folks that want you to run car(s) "they are considering purchasing".
