I hear that to reset the windows, you have to press and hold the window button down for 10 seconds while the window is in

the down AND up position.

My best guess on this is that the windows need to "know where they are"

because when the top is up, when you open the door the window drops a little

to clear the top frame, and when it closes it reseats is self against the top frame.

Nice feature actually -- my Z has the same thing.

hi thanks for you help to recap

do I need to disconnect batt then reconnect and then turn ignition key on to dash lights postion ?

after that do I need to hold both window switches on the open down position simultanously for ten seconds ?

or just one at at time?

also one window is down already and wont go back up (drivers side)

and the other is up and wont go down (passenger side)

they where both working fine prior to batt removal ..

seems to have stumped me everything else works fine

Try disconnecting the battery for a minute to do a reset and try again!

that dosent work either, left them off while i watched a movie inside and reconnected the batt. same prob but my alarm dosent work either, changed out stereo. its a 2003 boxster does not have the MOST in it, the radio alarm is built into the radio its the 23 series radio, need to find a loop for that???? doors dont lock alarm beeps 2 times but does nothing.?.?

Do your windows not work at all, or do they just not automatically open and close? Two beeps when you try to lock the doors means that something is open. A typical item is the glove box in the center console.

Sorry guys, two beeps indicates an alarm issue, one beep indicate an open space.
