Bridgestone OEM Tires

The Tire Rack is out of the rears for an S..anyone know of another trusted and competitive source?

I had the same issue with Bridgestone RE050A 305/30/19 and always showed as Backordered.

My dealer had to order them. And guess where they came from? Tire Rack!

What I've been told is PCNA has requested from tire mfgs to allocate enough tires for Porsche owners. The only way to get N spec tires from Tire Rack was to have the dealer contact PCNA with your VIN, which then PCNA releases the tires from Tire Rack.

You can look elsewhere but this is what I found. My dealer offered the same prices as Tire Rack + shipping.

Keep in mind, PCNA's tire distributor for the USA is the Tire Rack!

One catch-22 I recently discovered is that you do not have access to Tire Rack's road hazard warranty if you purchase tires through your Porsche dealership. You only get the warranty if you purchase it when you order your tires from Tire Rack. And many of the "N" rated Porsche approved tires from the Tire Rack are on backorder (Michelin's for example in 19") and the only possible way to get them are through the dealership.

I think this sucks. I guess the answer is to not purchase "N" rated tires. But, I am not willing to do this either.

Orders from Porsche dealers tend to take priority with Tire Rack. However, it is worth calling Tire Rack directly on your own if you have a preferred installer, regardless of the inventory shown on their website. Have your VIN handy; they generally want to know the tires are being allocated to the "right" vehicles. --Brian

N1 is a later approval of an N0 tire.

If it has an N approval you are good to go with it.

Loren, does Porsche have to "re-approve" a tire if the tire manufacturer makes any type of a change/revision...hence an NO...and then it becomes an N1?

I am on my second set on RE05As - been very good for daily driving and track. N-rated.

I must of nailed a pothole though as I developed a bubble or hernia on the sidewall at 10K miles.

Lots of wear left despite 2 track days,one AX, and daily commute.

Keep up the pressure for those low profile tires on 19s.

Thanks, I try to keep the pressures as high as possible but also not too high (actually lower than the factory specs) trying to avoid the typical centers of the rear tires getting worn first and I must say they have worn very evenly.
