Coolant

What can I use for coolant? I don't mind using the Porsche product it's just the dealer is 30 minutes away. The Walmart is 5.

If your topping off use what's already in the car. Don't use the cheap walmart stuff, do a search for approved coolants.

Unfortunatley, Prestone II is not going to cut it here.

Heck, one even needs a brand specific oil in the Porsche. The engineers at Porsche would never let us off

that easy. ;)

If you flush the coolant system you can use non Porsche coolant but there are only a few others that work well. If you mix coolant, it can turn into a gelatin and kill your engine. Which makes me feel like a $30 gallon of Porsche coolant isn't to expensive. (Since it's 50/50 with distilled water, your sort of getting two gallons).
