Anyone have this mod in california and still passing smog? Any check engine lights? The headers remove the pre-cats right? Performance benefits?

I checked into it, and supposedly it needs to have a stamp on it, stating it passed "California Air Resources Board" [CARB.]

My question is how are they [smog guy's] going to get down there to look for it, I don't know about you, but your lucky if they open the engine compartment.

Unless they put it on a lift, there is no filling station "smogger" who has any idea what to look for under the Boxster.

The only thing that would "Rat" on you would be the OBD II.

 IMO-

If you pretest and pass you should be good to go.

I am told that the S-Car -Go headers will pass the pipe test but obviously not the visual. I just don't want any cil to deal with.
