I am hearing a squeak or creak (like a poorly lubricated door) when I depress the pedal or release it. The noise seems to come from the slave area. Is there anything I can lubricate to stop the noise. The clutch pedal seems fine and the clutch is holding well.

Please help

I replace recently the clutch slave cylinder and there is nothing that you can lubricate on that unit. I don't think the noise can come from there. Is it possible this noise come from the pedals area under the dash instead of under the car. Hope this help, J.P.

If the noise is really coming from the gearbox/engine area, the pressure plate diaphragm spring is probably the culprit.

Thanks guy, I drove around a little more and now the squeak is gone. It must be clutch arthiritis setting in since I haven't driven it in a while. :)

I have exactly the same problem. When I first drive the car it is quite but when the car heats up a bit the squeaky noise returns.
