Help in picking out a wing

Hello you all and thanks for any input. I have a cab and want to add a wing, but im not sure which one I want to go with.

Well, I like the wing for whatever that is worth. I would leave the factory bumper though. Not a big fan of the turbo slats.

I will tell you that responses like that on this board will not get you very far! This board tends to be more technical rather than "do you think this will make my car look cool." Things like wings are pretty personal and everyone has their own opinion. I can say get what you want, but the fit and quality of these aftermaret products vary greatly. A lot of people say stick with OEM Porsche products for quality, fit and aftermarket value. I was in the same boat with you a while back and decided that if I did something it would be the Porsche Carrera wing kit. My $0.02.

Hi Tom,

I'm not sure the rear wings add a great deal to the aesthetic qualities of the 996. My own opinion is that they all, including the OEM GT3/GT2/Turbo wings, look like stuck on afterthoughts and ruin the classic teardrop profile. Fine if you want the added downforce :rolleyes: and I suppose they hark back to the classic 911 racers particularly in the case of the RUF 996 ducktail but they just compromise the lines of the car too much for me.

After spending a good deal of time and expense I am now satisfied with my car's performance but keen to enhance the looks so I've just ordered some RUF and CSR styling parts. (no rear wing though!)

I think it's perfectly reasonable to request styling advice on this forum. The fact is there are v.few whose motives for buying a Porsche are entirely technical and don't include the car's beauty. The proof is in the styling modifications on most members cars, the number of cabriolets and the number of postings related to interior and exterior styling.

I like RUF the lines follow the curves of the car itself. Have fun. Woops! missed the part on yours being a cab not sure the RUF will work.
