I purchased a used Certified Pre-Owned 2004 Cayenne Turbo in June 2008. So far it has been running great (gas mileage is a bit rough especially when jumping on it, however I would be a moron to complain about this)

I understand that there were a number of recommended TSBS to be perfromed by the dealership on early Cayenne TurboS when they were broght in for servicing. I contacted the dealer that I bought it from, however the mechanic said that there was no record of any TSBs being performed. He said that it could have been done by another dealer but that he does not have access to any national database of what work was done on a specific vehicle. I believe that there is some national databassse that Porsche dealers have access to, otherwise they could end up performing the same TSB on a specific vehicle.

A couple of quick questions:

1) Is there a national database that would tell me what TSBs have been performed on my Cayenne Turbo?

2) If so, does anyone have access to the database? My VIN number is WP1AC29P14LA91662 In exchange for your help, I would be wiling to send you in MP3 format Billboard Magazine's Top 1000 Rock songs of the 70,80,90s.

2) What TSBs would you recoomend at a minimum that I have performed (assuming that none have been done yet)?

Thanks in Advance - Steve

1 & 2. - Yes, there is a database at Porsche. Only dealers can access the database (I am sure for privacy reasons).

3. Go the TSB section here and sort by number. All TSBs that start with W (W = Workshop Campaign) should be performed - unless your car is not in that specific group (VIN or build date.)

1 - Yes they should be able to tell if a service action was performed although some delaers run on 2 systems

2 - No but Loren does I think

3 - I think it would be easier to list the subject matter that would be the subject of TSB's as they change a lot over the years.

I would start with

Rear Washer Nozzle (Drip)

Cardan Shaft (Vibration)

Rear Hatch and Flip support struts

DME Version

Control Units (Software Versions)

Keys (Range Extension)

Headlight Moisture control

Rear Seatbelts (do not get done, its awefull)

Steering Column

I am sure there are more, need somewone else to chip in here
