Ok so here's the history, hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks in advance.

'03 BOXSTER TIPTRONIC 2.7L U.S.

I was on the freeway one day and I lost power, lights came on, flashing tiptronic lights, and then car died. I found that the alternators regulator went out so I replaced the regulator. I made the mistake of turning the ignition on while the seats were unplugged and removed from the vehicle. The car seemed back to normal except the airbag light stays on. Does this mean the airbags won't work until it's reset and is there a way to reset the light for free? (That light bugs me, I'm always thinking... "My poor baby")

Another recent issue. Since my alternator went out... While on the freeway sometimes after like 30 minutes, my tiptronic 4th gear light and the D (drive) light flash and don't usually stop until I shut off the car. I don't experience loss of power or anything just the lights flashing. Could this be caused from the alternator going out while on the freeway? Is it bad to continue driving? What can I do to fix the problem on a limited budget?

THANKS SO MUCH GUYS! HOPE SOMEONE CAN GET ME SOME RELIEF.

The airbags will still work.

You need either the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester to reset the airbag circuit.

You should have the Tiptronic checked for fault codes with a PST2 or PIWIS tester.

Any idea where I can use a PST2 or PIWIS tester in Vegas for free? I know Porsche wants almost $200.
