Leaking Sunroof

Hi,

I have a Porsche 993 Carrera. After heavy rain when i drive the car and then brake water leaks through the sun roof. I have read a number of posts which state that my sun roof drain pipes may be blocked. However I have had a look and cannot see where the drainage hole is let alone how I can un block them. Any help would be much appreciated.

Drain holes and tubes are in each of the four corners of the sunroof frame.

Im i the same boat. I was caught out in the rain and later found my floor mats were soaking wet. Not coming from the

headliner more like from the firewall. I cant rally tell where its from but I know its not the roof.

I was told to check the sunroof drain holes as well. Open the sunroof and they are in the corners. An air compressor used lightly may do the trick but you must be very careful as it could also just pack more tightly whatever is blocking them.

Try some fishing wire or maybe Weed Eater string and push it all the way through. My seals around roof were obviously no good and are being replaced next.

Ahhh yes, the 'pool' in the drivers side foot well deal!...ug! I too have had the same prob. with my '95' 993. The answer 99 times out of 100 is the sunroof seals, especially the back one. If you have the front and back sunroof seals replaced (a two piece deal rather than the one piece seal in the 1974 to 1989 cars of which I have 20+ years of experience wit) you'll probable fix the problem. If you still have a problem you can run a 'coat hanger' type wire VERY GENTLY up the drains from the back (hidden by the back deck when down) towards the top of the car. However the new sunroof seals, front and back, should fix the problem, it did for me.

TEST.... Open sunroof. Pour water in channels. Water should drain out immediatly. If not, the drain is clogged. Compressed air or plastic covered braided cable snake should work
