Well I knew I would be posting here soon with something. I really like my Boxster, and it needs some TLC I think.

Here's the problem, I pushed the button to disarm the alarm before my driving today. Everything was fine until I stopped and

went to arm the alarm. Nothing happened, no flashing lights, no audible sounds of locking nothing. I thought the car was

left un-locked so I used the key to lock the door.

That's when I noticed that the normal red flasher for the alarm was not flashing but two adjacent ones were! I then determined that the car is locked the whole

time and I overrode everything? I thought the battery in the remote was bad so I replaced it to no avail. I also discovered that the fuel hatch does not

come un-locked no matter what state the alarm is in. That could be a problem, soon.

Is this something like a dead remote head on the key, or is it time to go to the dealer for a code reading??

Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Using the key in the door should override the Anti-Theft system. Then ignition on should reset key. If this is not happening you may have a issue with your module under the dirvers seat. If it is wet under there you will want to find out why right away and dry it out completely. JES

No water, and module is dry and looks intact.

I figured out how to open the fuel hatch, but the alarm is still freaking out.
