Link needs to be updated, takes you to a post about 3 center dash strip replacement.

Strange, I just tried it and it took me to the DIY for replacing the ballast resistors............

Maybe I should try it on my pc rather than the app.

Might be the issue.  I would also ask you to not double post on a single topic, which is a violation of forum rules.

Sorry about the double post, won't happen again. I checked from my pc and it took me to the correct page. The resistor i was referring to was on a c4/turbo which looks a bit different and is mounted to the fan housing.

Thanks again,

Saadi

Over the years, Porsche has used multiple styles of resistors on different models, but they all function in the exact same way.  Porsche sells the resistors, albeit and some pretty stiff prices, but a lot of people have researched alternative sources and saved a lot of $ by going to the after market.  The specs for the resistor is more important than its appearance.

Can any members chime in and help me source a resistor that would work for my application, any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Saadi

I highly suggest you buy an OEM resistor.

You do not really want to burn up a fan motor or worst burn your car up. These resistors dissipate a lot of heat and current so the wrong choice be very bad.

Try Sunset Porsche in Oregon for the best OEM prices.

Question.

existing resistor has 3 wires: White, green, and green/white.

Replacement has 2 red wires and one black.

How should these mate up?
